A fun 'water' weekend - see below for the 9/6/2012 Annual Boat Race details (plus Tug-O-War, Egg + Spoon race and whatever ideas occur between now and then) - contact us for details

Hopefully the Humber Keel and Sloop Preservation Society will be displaying one of their boats, plus for interest parties, the Inland Drainage Board will be opening theirs doors so you can have a good nose around.

Kids and big kids catered for. Whether you enter a team or just spectate, come along and enjoy a good laugh and a few days of fun.

Annual Boat Race

Check on the day for start times as can be dependant on the weather but assume late morning onwards.

Basically, build your own 4 person raft - raft must be man made and without mechanical propulsion - then race off down the Ancholme; bring your own life jackets and definately NO motors just good old fashion blood sweat and tears (hopefully from laughing too much)

There will be a trophy and after that more fun with the canoe race, egg and spoon race, tug-o-war and anything else we can dream up before then. This is a fun day so expect to get wet and happy.

Riverside Fireworks Display with Bar-B-Q

Usually kicks off at 7pm; Disco; fireworks and fun is expected plus a modicom of noise so be prepared to have a good time.
